On this page we'll list and describe the different hunts  we provide.

We offer the following Hunts:

Alaska

Alaska Hunting Trips: Moose, Caribou & Black Bear

For many hunters, Alaska is the "last frontier", a wild and challenging land where moose and bear roam a vast, untouched landscape. We specializes in flying hunters into these quality hunting areas. The results are impressive: past client's trophies include the #1 P&Y Barren Ground Caribou and the #2 P&Y Alaska / Yukon Moose.

Your Alaska hunting trip begins at our facility on Lake Hood, the world's largest seaplane base, at the Anchorage airport. After takeoff, our experienced pilots will fly you 150 miles west into roadless territory, a mountainous area dotted with lakes where both rifle and bowhunters have claimed many exceptional trophies. Here, in the legendary Lake Clark, Mulchatna and Stony river valleys, is where you'll find trophy moose and herds of migrating caribou.

Alaska Moose, Caribou & Black Bear Hunting

Depending on your objectives, you can hunt moose, caribou or black bear singly or in combination. Many of the game areas provide excellent opportunities for taking all three. If you prefer the experience of hunting in two areas, a move to a second site can be pre-arranged. At the end of your hunt we'll return to transport you, your game and trophies back to Anchorage.

Alaska Hunting Trip Options:

  • Alaska Caribou Hunting, $1795 (8 or more days).
  • Alaska Moose Hunting, $1995 (8 or more days).
  • Moose/Caribou Hunting, $2195 (10 or more days).

Kansas

Deer Hunts
*Update on 2007 Season*
We had another successful deer season with some great bucks taken.  Our biggest Mule Deer scored 205 3/8 with about 5-6 inches broken off.  Our biggest Whitetail was a very nice 6x6 that scored 173 3/8.  We are currently taking deposits for the 2008 season.  Be sure to book early as Kansas will become a draw only state this season with no landowner tags available.

We feel the key to a successful trophy deer hunt is a low pressure environment, awesome genetics, great habitat and abundant nutritious food. We have the right conditions here on our ranch to make a trophy hunt of a lifetime for you. The vast amount of irrigated farmland and sagebrush covered sand hills creates some of the most unique habitat for Mule Deer and Whitetail Deer. After many years of managing this ranch for trophy quality animals we have created a true honey hole for these monster bucks. We have only harvested a handful of bucks in the past few years. We try to harvest only mature bucks to ensure a quality hunt for years to come. The majority of our rifle and muzzleloader hunting involves the exciting spot and stalk method that will get you up close and personal with some true giants. We offer only a limited number of these hunts so book early to try your skills at one of our Kansas monster bucks!

Antelope Hunts
Sagebrush Hunts is pleased to offer quality Pronghorn Antelope hunting on our historical Texas Panhandle ranch located near Dalhart, Texas. This hunt involves our favorite hunting method of spot and stalking. This can be very challenging because of the antelope’s excellent vision and speed. Our success rates have been near 100%. Our 2006 average green score was 76 1/8 with our biggest buck scoring 78 2/8 and measuring 16 inches tall. These hunts are very limited because tags are by landowner permit only, so book early!

We take great pride in taking you on an upland bird hunt in some of the most unique terrain you can find in the sagebrush covered sand hills of Southwest Kansas. We offer a variety of packages to hunt these birds but if you don't see something that works for you we can arrange a hunt that fits you.  During your stay your group will enjoy exclusive rights to the lodge and hunting grounds.

Tinmusket Guide Outfitters offers wilderness hunting located in the very scenic Cariboo Region of British Columbia. Tinmusket is professionally ran and a locally owned incorporated company with 12 years experience dedicated to providing clients, quality, safe, ethical and successful hunts (see our mission statement). Our Exclusive Guide Territory encompasses 1,000 sq. miles and offers game rich hunting areas. Our guides have over 60 years of Big Game Hunting experience and are devoted to making your hunt not only successful but memorable. Our hope is that our hunters come to us as clients and leave as friends. Repeat business and word of mouth advertising has been the secret of our success.

Spring Black Bear:

The most successful hunting method for bagging large Black Bears is the spot and stock method. Our clients will join the guides for some low pressure hunting on their spring bear hunts. On spring day hunts through the newly greening meadows you will easily see 10 plus bears daily. The genetics in this area are producing numerous colors of bear that range from traditional black to chocolate, cinnamon and blonde and in the spring the fur can be over five inches long. We target mature boars in the 6 foot plus class with several bears being taken annually in the 7 foot range. Our spring bear hunts are giving us to date a 100% success rate. A number of our bears are B.C. Book Class every year. We can also offer excellent hunting opportunities for you with your Rifle, Bow or Black Powder.

Fall Black Bear:

Our fall hunts are hunted the same but the bears have spread out geographically and have fattened up considerably and now have shorter hair.

Accommodations consist of our base operation and remote camps. This will depend on where the bears are located and the time of your hunt.

Moose:

The Shiras Moose is the smallest subspecies of moose, bulls with antlers in the mid 30" range are considered shooters, as well as excellent eaters. However, our territory does produce 40" plus bulls with a couple every year in the 50" range. Limited hunts available.

Cougar/Mountain Lion:

British Columbia is known for it's huge mountain lions. Big Toms with 15" skulls are not uncommon. This is a great opportunity for Boone & Crocket Toms. Combination hunts are also available, add Bobcat or Lynx.

Mule Deer:

This hunt produces large heavy antlered mule deer, commonly referred to as "timberland mossbacks". Expect mule deer in the 120" to 180" class with average bucks harvested in the 140" class. This hunt is only for the serious mule deer hunters who are in excellent shape and willing to hike the extra mile. Combinations available add Black Bear, Wolf etc.

California Big Horn Sheep:

We offer many years of hunting sheep. We offer two categories of sheep hunts. First ¾ curl rams which we have a very restricted quota for. Also full curl rams with very little restrictions.

These hunts are conducted using 4x4's and/or quads and hiking. Hunting will be done from our main camp and outpost camps right in the middle of the action. These hunts can be very physically demanding. Good comfortable hiking boots that fit your feet are a must, we recommend that new boots are broken in prior to the hunt. For the weather conditions, raingear and layering are the key, wool or fleece are suggested. Also a good set of binoculars and spotting scope is the norm. We suggest rifles in the 270, 30-06, 7mm class sighted at 200-250 yards as 500 yard shots are common.

Services included in the hunt packages are as follows:

Transportation to and from Kamloops or Williams Lake Airports which have services daily from Vancouver, (or rent a vehicle at Vancouver Airport, the drive through some of the most scenic area's of British Columbia: the drive is about 5 ½ - 6 hours, this will save you money over a flight.) Guide services, meals, accommodations, meat and trophy preparation (field capping & salting), tags, licenses and GST. We do not include or charge trophy fees.

Not included are:

Meat cutting and taxidermy

Payment:

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking to secure the hunt. Should you have to cancel and can rebook the hunt, we will return the deposit or we may be able to transfer the hunt to someone else or arrange for a more suitable time. The final balance of the hunt is due in full upon arrival to Kamloops or Williams Lake with no exceptions. We will accept personal checks for deposit only. Balance must be paid in cash, travelers-checks, or bank drafts.
